YL has been designed to make the world’s very best changemaking knowledge available to the young generation on global scale.

To inspire and empower you to change the/your world and future. To open up a world of opportunities, joy and abundance. Since this is what comes along with it.

In order to empower your generation to grow up with a world-view, ethics, priorities, knowledge and action competence for creating a global, peaceful, just and sustainable civilisation, three things are essential: Early access, long-term exposure, and self-organised learning.

This is where YOUTH WHO CARE come into the picture. As a LINK. We have designed a wide spectrum of simple, attractive and fun ways of making the very best of the world’s positive change and sustainability movement available in school. Be in it the classroom, in hallways, in projects. Our approaches do not put strain on finance or time. You can do as you wish and can. If you wish to fly, YL adds wind under your wongs. You decide how high to fly.

Since YOU are IN SCHOOL, the info we have for you is the same as for (the few good) educators (who care about the real thing). You may discover you are part of the same “family” .

A SHORT MESSAGE TO THOSE OF YOU WHO ARE NEW TO THE POSITIVE CHANGE MOVEMENT

Unless we completely change our ways, humankind will go down the drain with the dissolving life systems of the planet. Life will be way more less fun that it is now, and already, we agree, it could be way more fun for everyone. While many people may not tell you this, it is obvious from reports looking at the state of affairs, and clear to all those in higher positions. You can find out for yourself from the world’s best resources in our Reports section. Like the Millenium Ecosystem Assessment, Global Footprint Network, the Books and Films section, and, not to forget, the Den of Horrors – yuk!

Youth-Leader’s big picture vision was published in Kosmos Journal – the world’s leading medium for visionary world change. Check it out at “Shimmers from the Shoal” (shoal = a swarm or school of fish).

Contrary to the common negative scenarios depicted by mainstream media and politicians, we have a wealth of solutions at hand that can create a world that works for all, decreases destruction, pollution and exploitation, regenerates degenerated landscapes, creates billions(!) of sustainable jobs and overcomes poverty in every part of the globe. And – also to have awesome schools, by the way!

This is not wishful thinking, but every bit of this has been realised, has affected millions, receives awards left and right and this is what the world’s leading changemaker communities advocate on major summits like recent www.reworktheworld.org in Sweden (June 2010).

We have a powerful approach of getting this knowledge out around the globe by involving close to a thousand online volunteers coordinating, translating, writing, taking outreach measures, organising events and even launching National and Local Editions.

One single person can take this world of solutions into schools at no cost – by simply printing our articles and setting up a Positive News Board within minutes. This is a space where students can get inspired by global innovation, for classroom discussion and projects. It is also a great space for posting and sharing local projects and initiatives, so the local change oriented students get to know each other and unite for action.
